Feel the heat coming...

the last two weeks were eventful.. hmm dunno if its the right word. anyway, i was auditing this cement company, in some ulu place... we went down on monday and tho we were booked to be on this job till the following friday, our acting AIC (accountant in charge... in other words boss) said our manager wanted to review our work by thursday... means by wednesday, we must show some more or less completed work. wat to do? work like mad!

we finish by thurs...and we just slacking after that. went to jurong port to do fixed assets sighting. it was interesting to enter the port. didn't know security was quite tight and that we had to pay $2! hahaha, anyway it was an eye opening experience to see the port. visited the cement plant and went into the silo to see how cement is made, packed and loaded into bags/cement truck. priceless experience, but its was very dusty... in fact, very expensive dust... was it was dry cement. yucks

and since i had completed my job one week ahead, my AIC told me to go back office. so, last week saw me moving from a tunneling company (tuesday) to taxi company (wednesday) to a furniture company (thursday). felt like i was thrown here and there. moving like a nomad. and each place i went.. i had to finiish the task in that given day... sighz... so i think i've accumulated quite a lot of OT.

Friday, i began a new job in this japanese trading company. simple and clean job. everything is so in order that my boss said that i could finish in 2-3 days1 eventhough he booked me for a week. anyway, i finish the audit today. in a record time of 2 days without OT man! muahahaa

and thus, the reality of audit life is hitting on me. not many people are left in office. just last month, there were quite a number of people slacking in office that they force us to go on leave. and now, everybody is out at the client's place. no more time to slack... sianz. even worse, last saturday was the first time i kena called to work... at first, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the email asking if i'm free for sat and sun... i replied no. thought won't kena, but friday evening i received a call asking me to go, but this time its only saturday. ok lor, i agreed since there wasn't enough people. eventhough i really could use the day to sleep.. i thought it would be better to just offer myself.... in the end, i enjoyed the stock take. almost 6 hours in the warehouse, counting boxes. quite cool to see how the workers manouver the machines and stuff like that.

eventhough its not easy being an auditor, i think i've been "enjoying" my work. the chance of meeting new people, working in teams and moving around from one company to another.... makes it all interesting. especially for someone like me who doesn't mind changes like these :)

just pray that i'll survive the peak... and not just barely making it through but emerging victorious and keeping my heart, life and focus on the One above.

Help!

started saturday by going to see a unit for rent in redhill. then rushed to church for Edmund Samuel Chu's wedding. Then choir practice. by the time i came back, it was 11 plus.
Sunday was church, cell leader's motherinlaw baptism and dinner with a friend.

Seems ok on the surface, but its like i've been through the hurricane. Didn't know the house viewing would get so complicated. I made in total like almost 1 over hour of calls. Just this weekend alone.

And now my roomate has left for china (won't be back until 2 weeks time), our huge deposit stuck with the landlord (or agent) who won't refund it. I'm left to handle all these matters now. SIGH....

I'm in deep shit. To cut the entire long complicated story, my solution now is to find people (1 or 2) to share the unit with. My roomate and i agreed to take up this particular unit having a few people in mind to share with. but now, each one seems to have an obstacle.

So if you know anyone, that'll be helpful.

details are: place is near redhill, 3 bedroom, $2.5k per month, fully furnished and renovated, and is very pleasant and comfy. i need a person or two who is willing to take the master bedroom. it has an attached bathroom.

Cemented

the last 3 saturdays was spent in m'sia. hahaha... after 5 weeks of not going back. miss home. heee... at least i went home to celebrate my b'day, for the first time in 3 years.... tho we never do anything special... was just great being home.

and now my overtime leave is depleting. my hard earned overtime seems to burn up so fast...took leave so that i can be home longer. i think in all i took 4 days of TOIL.

just as i was calculating how many TOIL i have left, this week was damn shiong. we went down to the client's place on monday and was told that we must complete it by thursday. but by wednesday, we must have at least some substance to show. faintz! to audit a whole P&L of a manufacturing company with a revenue of close to $30m; and PPE of $40m in cost.... in 2.5 days by myself?

OT like nobody's business. in fact, came home everynight and continue work w/o dinner till past midnight. i think i earned back enough TOIL... haha lame lame.

and now that i have submited my work, just feel like stoning away and stone. haven't have that luxury the last few days. made me wonder how am i going to survive the peak period. i'll just run out of gas.... especially if i don't have my time at night just to spend with Him.
