Nasty

Fell while playing captain's ball 2 saturdays ago... my left knee scrapped the sand.

after 1 week it dried up and healed.

Then I thought yay! can go jogging again.

So off I went today.

Lo and behold, in my final round, I suddenly tripped and went crashing down. This time my right knee got cut so bad that I was bleeding non stop. Blood just flowed all the way to my ankle till my shin was soaked. My skin peeled off that my fat underneath could be seen!

sigh...what a bloody mess :(

Phuket Trip 24 - 31 Aug 08

Just came back from Phuket. Was an interesting trip and it ended in a way that we totally didn't expect. Our flight was cancelled due to the demonstrations in Thailand. And instead of waiting any further, we decided to drive down all the way from Phuket to Melaka. Total journey took 18 hours! Not to mention we were travelling very, very fast.

The island is changing rapidly from the last visit I had in 2006. Property prices are soaring as foreigners are flocking here to buy a second home. Cost of living has also escalated. The beaches have been reconstructed and tourists are coming back after the tsunami disaster (although it will surely be affected by the unstable political situation right now).

Also discovered that there are new churches in the island.... that's great news. However, there is still much work as 95% of the Thai population remains Buddhist. People there need sheperds, leaders and elders.

During our 1 week there, we met up with many of the brothers and sisters, whom my parents met when they were here a some years back... 2004/05 I think. They still come here to follow up with the people. And I see that they really look up to elder people in the faith. Well, see how God speaks to my parents....
